About Reza S. Jacob, MD
Dr. Reza Jacob is a San Diego dermatologist who practices general medical and surgical dermatology for adult and pediatric patients and treats a wide variety of skin conditions. His expertise includes surgical and nonsurgical treatment of skin cancers, skin cancer screening and preventive treatment of pre-cancerous skin and actinic keratosis. Dr. Jacob also tests for and treats skin allergies and contact dermatitis. In addition, he specializes in minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, such as filler injections, chemical peels and removal of unwanted growths and moles. Dr. Jacob has been practicing medicine since 2007. He believes in careful listening and partnering with his patients to ensure their unique goals are met. In addition to his practice, Dr. Jacob has been an investigator in clinical trials for acne and psoriasis treatment. He also has authored textbook chapters, published peer-reviewed articles in leading dermatology journals and created an educational video for medical students and non-dermatologists. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the San Diego Dermatologic Society. In his free time, Dr. Jacob enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, traveling with emphasis on eating foods from around the world and lifelong learning.
