About Rex Baumgartner, DDS
Dr. Baumgartner has worked in the Santa Clarita Valley since 1978. He has a doctor of dental surgery (DDS) degree from Georgetown University. He went on to complete a one-year general residency at the Veterans Administration Sepulveda Hospital and a two-year prosthodontics residency at Veterans Administration Wadsworth Hospital. With this additional training, Dr. Baumgartner became a prosthodontist, a specialist in dental and facial problems that involve restoring missing tooth and jaw structures. This includes dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, temporomandibular disorders (TMJ/TMD), cosmetics, and more. A visiting faculty member for Spear Education, an innovative continuing education program for dentists, Dr. Baumgartner mentors dentists from the U.S. and internationally. He is on staff at Henry Mayo Hospital in Newhall.
