About Prem Patel, MD

Dr. Prem Patel DMD MD has recently joined our surgical team. He was born and raised in Addison, Illinois. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering graduating with High Honors. He then went on to obtain his Dental Medicine Doctorate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010 where he remained very active in many academic and professional societies and was awarded several surgical and scholastic merits. Dr. Patel was then accepted into the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. As part of his residency, he attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he earned his MD degree in 2013. He received a two-year General Surgery certificate and completed extensive rotations in adult and pediatric anesthesia at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania. Dr. Patel completed his extensive OMFS training in 2016 and finally decided to move back home to Chicago! He practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery including facial trauma and reconstruction, pathology, dental implant surgery, bone grafting, removal of impacted wisdom teeth, TMJ surgery, sleep apnea, and corrective jaw and cosmetic surgery. In his free time, he enjoys eating, traveling, exercising, and spending time with his family and friends. He is excited to be back in the Chicagoland area and looks forward to helping, educating, and treating patients with their oral and facial concerns!
