About Philip J. Silverstone, MD
Dr. Silverstone joined Eye Physicians and Surgeons, P.C. in 1986 after completing a fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic, Reconstructive and Orbital Surgery at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Silverstone graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1976 and from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1980. After two years of Internal Medicine Residency he completed a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Silverstone is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Yale-New Haven Medical Center. He has co-authored a number of articles and book chapters on topics in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has been a course instructor at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Silverstone is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians and the New England Ocuplastic Society.
