About Paul D. Fischer, MD
Dr. Fischer graduated from St. Lawrence University magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1977. He received his medical degree at Brown University in 1981 and completed his General Surgery training at the University of Massachusetts and his Plastic Surgical residency as well as a Fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, entering private practice in the Connecticut area in 1989. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery , and served as a voluntary faculty member for the Yale Plastic Surgical Residency Program until 2005, receiving the Resident Teaching Award in 1991. He is a past recipient of multiple CT Magazine Top Doctor Awards in Plastic Surgery. He presently is the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Milford Hospital, Milford, Ct.
