About Patty Young
Dr. Patty K. Young is a well-respected plastic and reconstructive surgeon. She performs both cosmetic and complex reconstructive procedures, including all types of cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction, peripheral nerve reconstruction, and microvascular surgery. Dr. Young is one of the few surgeons who perform brachial plexus reconstruction. Her goal is to enhance the quality of life of her patients from both and aesthetic and functional standpoint. Dr. Young received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1987. She graduated with honors and was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society. Dr. Young completed her general surgery residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center / Parkland Hospital. Following this, she fulfilled a two-year research fellowship in wound healing at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Young then completed her plastic surgery residency at Barnes Hospital / Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, MO. An additional year of fellowship training in peripheral nerve surgery / microvascular surgery was then performed. During this year, Dr. Young was an instructor at Barnes Hospital assisting in the training of plastic surgery residents. She then returned to the Dallas area establishing her private practice in 1997. Her plastic surgery office is located in beautful Plano, Texas.
