About Patricia N. Mars, MD
Dr. Patricia MarsDr. Patricia Navarrette Mars is a sixth generation Tucsonan with deep roots in Arizona. After 20 years in practice, she is considered an expert in her field and has a reputation as a caring and skilled surgeon. Her knowledge of plastic surgery and non-invasive treatments make her a sought-after speaker and trainer. She has a love of her community and its people and a long history of local volunteer work. Motivated by a desire to help her patients discover their inner beauty, she focuses her work specifically on cosmetic surgery of the face, body and breast. Her interests are in all aspects of cosmetic surgery including minimally invasive techniques, laser resurfacing as well as new and emerging technology. Dr. Mars completed both her undergraduate and medical school degrees at the University of Arizona. After medical school, she left Tucson to pursue her surgical training, completing her internship at Tufts/New England Medical Center in Boston followed by a surgical residency at SUNY Downstate affiliate Maimonides Medical Center. Her commitment to research led to a two year research fellowship in wound healing at USC/Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Mars has published her research and has had the honor of presenting her work at many local and national plastic surgery meetings. Her training in plastic surgery was then completed at USC Division of Plastic Surgery. Drawn back to Tucson, Dr. Mars returned home in 1997 to start her plastic surgery practice. She has been dedicated to her field of plastic surgery for 20 years and opened her solo practice, Venus By Mars Cosmetic Surgery in 2007 to better serve her patients. In 2012, Dr. Mars built a new office and private out-patient surgery center at La Paloma Business Center where she has recently celebrated a 5 year anniversary. Dr. Mars and her staff are dedicated to helping patients bring out their inner beauty in a safe and nurturing environment.
