About Nirmal Nathan
Dr. Nathan was born in New Jersey and raised in Florida. His original inspiration for his endeavors was the work of his father, who served as a facial plastic surgeon in the U.S. military. As a high school senior, Dr. Nathan was accepted to the prestigious and highly competitive Honors Program in Medicine at the University of Miami. The program identifies high-aptitude students and grants them simultaneous admission to the Undergraduate School and the School of Medicine from high school. While attending the University of Miami, Dr. Nathan double majored in Biology and English Literature. Within three years, he earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, with Honors. Subsequently, Dr. Nathan matriculated to the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. There, he continued to excel and was admitted to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. This society recognizes the nation’s top medical students. Later, Dr. Nathan obtained his surgical and specialty training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He trained at the internationally renowned University of California-San Francisco (UCSF), ranked a top 10 hospital in the country by U.S. News and World Report (2015-2016). At UCSF, Dr. Nathan served as Chief Resident in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. After rigorous and well rounded training, he pursued fellowship training in Craniofacial surgery. In addition to treating children with various acquired and congenital deformities, Dr. Nathan received specialized training in adult facial cosmetic surgery including rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, and face lift.
