Buccal fad pad removal is done through a small incision on the inside of both cheeks, through which the cheek fat is removed. The procedure uses local anesthesia, is done in office, and takes under half an hour.

Saline implants typically require the smallest incision under the breast, near the armpit, or through the navel. Saline implants are filled with saline (salt water) after insertion. These type of implants are usually less expensive than silicone and can sometimes ripple, deflate, or leak, requiring immediate attention. Silicone implants are filled with a silicone gel and offer a more natural look and feel than saline implants. They are generally less likely to ripple than saline filled implants. Should a rupture occur, the gel will not leak into the body and is typically not noticeable. Dr. Nima can discuss with patients their desired outcome to determine which procedure is best for them.

Calves can be shaped with silicone implants or fat from another part of a patient’s body. Both procedures produce a natural and stronger looking calf. Implants are FDA-approved and come in various shapes and sizes to match the proportions of the body. Fat grafting includes taking fat from another part of the body and injecting it into the calf. Some patients choose to combine calf augmentation with liposuction of the knees and ankles to improve the entire shape of the leg. Most often, the incision made for calf implants is made behind the knee and the implants are placed within the muscle. Patients may choose to have the inner calf, outer calf, or both parts of the calf filled out.

During a thigh lift procedure, an incision is made near the groin which allows the scar to be strategically hidden. Excess fat and skin tissue are removed while the remaining skin is reshaped and tightened, resulting in smoother skin and better definition in the thigh. A thigh lift will better define and shape the thigh.

During a buttock lift or augmentation, implants may be used, or Dr. Nima may perform a fat transfer. A fat transfer involves liposuction of another part of your body followed by the injection of the removed fat into your buttock. This is known as a “Brazilian butt lift.” A butt lift or augmentation can give a better shape to the entire body.
