About Nikkiy Rare, Aesthetician Specialist
Rich in Life Nikkiy Rare is a west coast, self made serial-entrepreneur, CBD advocate and mentor known for her drive and hustlers mentality. Before the numerous business endeavors and Rich in Life' lifestyle, Nikkiy Rare was once convicted felon serving 8 years at the Dublin Federal Correctional Institute and Danbury Federal Correctional Institution. Due to unfortunate circumstances and mis-guided decisions that lead to her conviction, Nikkiy Rare was determined to not be a product of her environment. While incarcerated, Nikkiy Rare implemented a Drug program at Danbury Federal Correctional Institute that encourages inmates to not use nor sell drugs after being released from prison. As a result of helping others', Nikkiy Rare then enrolled herself in Los Positas College where she took graphic design, paralegal and business management courses that were offered to inmates serving time. After serving 8 years in prison, Nikky Rare was the first African American woman to be released from Danbury Federal Correctional Institution under the Fair Sentencing Act that was passed under the Barack Obama administration in 2010. Overjoyed and determined to succeed at her second chance of freedom, Nikkiy Rare moved to Sacramento and obtained her bachelor's degree in Music & Business from Full Sail University. After receiving her degree, Nikkiy Rare took her previously learned business skills and mixed it with hustlers mentality and opened up her first hair salon in 2011. Though this was a pivotal shift from her previous lifestyle, Nikkiy Rare successfully owned and operated the first of its kind, trendiest salons’ in the Sacramento area with 8 employees under her belt, hairline and a word-of-mouth clientele-she was the pioneer for creating an experience when walking into the salon that one could never forget! Nikkiy Rare has since expanded her business to the LA area and is now teaching classes under the Rare Rich Academy to enhance hairstylists and salon owners skill sets through business management courses, company start-ups, cosmetology courses and more! Now moving into health and wellness, Nikkiy Rare has added body sculpting and skin regimes to her product line under the Rare Rich brand. With her now astute focus on success, Nikkiy Rare continues to take risks with “Rich in Life” on a different playing field.
