About Nicholas R. Blickenstaff, MD
Dr. Nicholas R. Blickenstaff is a board-certified dermatologist (American Board of Dermatology) who practices medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology at our Michigan Avenue office in downtown Chicago. Dr. Blickenstaff earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Diego, graduating magna cum laude, before attending the University of Utah School of Medicine, where he earned both a Master of Science in biomedical engineering and his doctorate degree. After completing his internship at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA, Dr. Blickenstaff went on to complete his dermatology residency training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, where he served as chief resident during his final year. Dr. Blickenstaff is highly committed to advancing the field of dermatology through innovative research. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, dermatology textbook chapters and holds two medical device patents. Dr. Blickenstaff has also completed numerous lectures and professional presentations at local, state, and national scientific meetings. Dr. Blickenstaff takes great pride in providing exceptional patient centered care and spending time to educate his patients about their individual skin conditions. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Medical Association. Outside of dermatology, he enjoys scuba diving, world travel, live music and fitness.
