About Neil Agnihotri, DMD
Dr. Agnihotri first completed his bachelors in engineering at NJIT. From there attended New Jersey Dental School, where his interest in cosmetic, oral and maxillofacial surgery began. He then matched into the UMDNJ 6-year integrated surgical residency, through which he obtained his doctorate of medicine and internship in general surgery. During residency, he was given the unique opportunity of participating in medical missions including trips to Ghana and Bangladesh with SmileTrain. The trips involved treating both children and adults with cleft lips and palates. These trips gave him special appreciation for patients with aesthetic, functional and social issues. He has continued his dedication to medical care around the world with ongoing mission trips, most recently to Angouman, Haiti. After completing his residency, he went on to complete a clinical fellowship in craniomaxillofacial surgery at the Posnick Center for Facial Plastic Surgery in Chevy Chase, Maryland with clinical privileges at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Agnihotri was able to treat many patients with congenital deformities resulting from syndromes or congenital malformations to restore facial balance and enhance aesthetics. He continues to have an academic presence, with an academic appointment at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Agnihotri is a board certified Cosmetic Facial Surgeon, and is a fellow of two prestigious surgical societies, the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Agnihotri is very active and passionate about continuing his education with orthognathic and cosmetic facial surgery. Many times a year, Dr. Agnihotri will attend and even speak at local, regional and national lectures that bring together the best and the brightest surgeons from around the world. He believes it’s crucial to always be learning in order to provide the best care for his patients.
