About Neel Patel, MD
Dr. Patel joined Southwest Skin Specialists in 2006. After attending Texas A & M University for his undergraduate studies, Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School and Parkland Hospital in 1999. His postgraduate training included both an Internal Medicine residency and a residency in Dermatology at Washington University’s Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. While he was at the Washington University School of Medicine he also served as a clinical instructor in Internal Medicine and was Chief Resident during his Dermatology residency. Dr. Patel practices general and surgical Dermatology with particular interests in the cutaneous side effects of chemotherapy, psoriasis, rheumatologic dermatology and cutaneous oncology. Dr. Patel is an Associate Professor at Creighton University School of Medicine and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He also lectures regularly to medical students and residents at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and at HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea.
