About Michelle T. Pelle, MD
Michelle T. Pelle, M.D. is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and she specializes in medical care for autoimmune and allergic skin diseases, skin cancers and general adult and pediatric dermatologic disorders. She is a Principal Investigator in clinical research trials that study the effectiveness of therapy for many skin diseases. Additionally, she has over 15 years of experience in the performance of cosmetic and laser skin rejuvenation procedures. Dr. Pelle was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree in 1997 from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. She completed an Internal Medicine Internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by a Dermatology Residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. She then completed a two year Clinician-Educator fellowship as an Instructor at the University of Pennsylvania, where she specialized in autoimmune and medical dermatology. She has held Assistant Professorships at Boston University and at the University of California, San Diego. In 2006, she established MedDerm Associates to offer a service-oriented center for the focused management of skin disease. Dr. Pelle is married and has one son and one daughter. She enjoys art and design, skiing, kettlebells, and being a Mom. Dr. Pelle is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Medical Dermatologic Society, the American Society of Mohs Surgery and the San Diego Dermatologic Society.
