About Michelle S. Legacy, DO
Dr. Legacy is a board certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon from southeast Michigan. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan where she earned a Bachelor of Science and finished with honors. She attended Michigan State University to earn her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Legacy competed her dermatology residency training in affiliation with Michigan State University at Botsford General Hospital where she served as chief resident. During her training, Dr. Legacy took special interest in international dermatology, which took her to Tanzania, Guatemala and Botswana. She received several grants and awards including the American Academy of Dermatology’s resident international grant and the James Bernard Leadership Award, among others. Dr. Legacy is board certified in Mohs micrographic surgery and specializes in skin cancer treatment and aesthetic dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the American Society for Mohs Surgery, and the American Academy of Dermatology. She serves as clinical teaching faculty for Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and provides clinical teaching for dermatology residents at the Beaumont Farmington Hills/MSUCOM program. A mother first, she enjoys spending time exploring with her family, dancing, practicing yoga, and traveling.
