About Michele Burgess, MD
Dr. Burgess’s interest in dermatology stems from her own struggle with acne as a teenager. She’s experienced firsthand the frustration of over-the-counter products that don’t work and misleading advice from the cosmetics counter. Now, as a board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Burgess is able to help people understand the unique factors influencing the condition of their skin, from genetics to bad reactions to products. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and specializes in a wide range of conditions and treatments, offering everything from cosmetic treatments to skin cancer screenings and wart removal. Dr. Burgess grew up in Canada, but has lived in Chicago for more than a decade. She enjoys the diversity of the city, its wonderful restaurants, and the summer music festivals. She came to Chicago by way of Detroit, where she completed her residency training at the Henry Ford Health System. Before that, she completed her medical degree at Wayne State University. She has been running Loop Dermatology and Acne Care Center for more than five years, building the private practice with the goal of creating an intimate environment where patients can get the best possible care with a personalized touch. Bringing her strong background in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology to an intimate and professional setting, she provides patient-oriented treatment plans tailored to suit your individual needs. Dr. Burgess has years of experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, and she works hard to build on that foundation each year. She spends hours of her free time pursuing continuing education courses on specific conditions and treatments. She’s passionate about developing treatment regimens suited to each patient’s individual needs and lifestyle. Staying ahead of the game is the best way, in her opinion, to offer the most effective and personalized treatment plans.
