About Michael Wangia, MD
Michael Wangia, MD is Board Certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. He earned his medical degree from Howard University where he graduated with honors and was inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Florida, where he served as a Chief Resident and was awarded the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award by the Society of Teaching Scholars. He was also awarded ""The Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award"", which honors a physician who exemplifies the qualities of a caring and compassionate mentor in the teaching and advising of medical students. He completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of Florida under Vladimir Vincek, MD, PhD, and Ann Church, MD. Dr. Wangia has served as an Assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Florida and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented at both local and national meetings. He is committed to providing excellent patient care in a professional and affable environment, His clinical interests include medical dermatology, dermatopathology, surgical dermatology, pediatric and skin of color dermatology. When not working, Dr Wangia enjoys spending time with his wife and children. His hobbies include playing soccer, running, watching any sports and travelling with his family.
