About Michael S. Fozo, MD
Michael S. Fozo, M.D., F.A.C.S., Director of Lakeshore Facial Plastic Surgery, is board certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. His precise and extensive experience has allowed him to master the artistry required of the face and neck, particularly cosmetic and functional Rhinoplasty, anti-aging surgeries such as Facelifts and Blepharoplasty, and the treatment of skin cancer. He completed training at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in downtown Manhattan, where he was elected Chief Resident and graduated with accolades including the Swift Hanley Award for medical research, the Teaching Award, and the Turner Award for excellence in all aspects of the program. Dr. Fozo received his Bachelor of Science Degree at Tufts University in Massachusetts, and went on to attend New York Medical College where he served as President of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He graduated with honors, receiving both the Cor et Manus Award and the William Cullen Bryant Award for outstanding service to the community and distinguished academic record. Dr. Fozo is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is published in the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery and the Plastic Surgery section of EMedicine, the online textbook of Medicine. HOUR Detroit Magazine has recognized Dr. Fozo as one of Michigan’s Top Doctors for several consecutive years. When not at work, Dr. Fozo enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. You might also find him coaching youth sports, renovating his family’s 1920s home, sailing or sneaking in a game of tennis or soccer.
