About Melissa Efron-Everett, MD
Dr. Melissa Efron-Everett was born and raised in Massachusetts where she went on to earn her undergraduate degree in behavioral neuroscience from Northeastern University in Boston. Dr. Efron then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where she earned her medical degree, graduating among the top of her class as an elected member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Efron completed her dermatology residency at the University of Texas at Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center where she was honored to serve as chief resident. Dr. Efron is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Efron welcomes patients of all ages with a broad spectrum of dermatological needs. Dr. Efron advises patients to undergo a full body skin exam by a board certified dermatologist once a year. Skin cancer evaluation, treatment, and prevention are a cornerstone of Dr. Efron's practice. Additional areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of general dermatological needs such as psoriasis, rosacea, acne, rashes, eczema and other problems of the skin, hair and nails. Dr. Efron also offers a range of cosmetic services including skin rejuvenation for the treatment of aging skin, sun spots, and uneven pigmentation. Her priority as well as her passion is to make each of her patients look and feel their best. Dr. Efron enjoys getting to know each of her patients on a personal level and is dedicated to the delivery of individualized and compassionate care. Outside of medicine, some of her interests include running, hiking, traveling, competing in triathlons, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
