About Melissa Burke, Aesthetician Specialist
I have always loved anything and everything to do with hair. I can remember being a little girl and strategically placing colorful bows and ribbons in my dad's hair as he sat patiently, pretending not to be mortified. From then on my interest in hair turned into a great love and passion for creativity and beauty. Although my life took a different turn after I graduated from high school, I eventually found a way to do what I love. After receiving my Bachelors degree in history and law, I decided to go back to school and enrolled myself in Ricci's Academy of Cosmetology in 2010. While there, I not only received my license in cosmetology, but I also found a new love in providing services in aesthetics, such as facials, waxing and makeup. Sometime after graduating, I joined the DPZ team as a stylist in August 2011, and as an aesthetician in March 2012. I can finally say I have found my calling in life in providing clients with a well rounded experience at DPZ, from giving them the hair of their dreams, to giving them relaxing spa services to help melt their stress away. Being at DPZ has also given me the opportunity to enjoy a wide array of educational experiences and expand my knowledge. Classes from L'Oreal Professional, Bumble and Bumble, Oribe Haircare, Hairdreams Hair Extensions, Yonka Paris, and Nova Lash have helped me to become the well-rounded stylist and aesthetician that I am today. Being a part of the DPZ family, I can truly say that I have found my calling: helping people feel beautiful and confident in their own skin. It is a truly rewarding experience to do what I do everyday.
