About Marlene E. Morales, MD
Marlene Morales, MD was born and raised in Houston, Texas where she attended Clear Brook High School. After graduating with honors from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and a minor in Business, she went on to attend medical school. She completed her medical school training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, where she graduated with honors and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Honor Society, which selects students based on high academic standing, leadership, professionalism, and ethics. She completed her ophthalmology residency as well as a combined Oculoplastic surgery and Neuro-Ophthalmology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Morales is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has published articles in medical journals and presented research at national ophthalmology meetings. Dr. Morales specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology and oculoplastic surgery, which deals with surgery of the eyelids and tear drainage system. She speaks fluent Spanish and embraces every opportunity to provide her very best care to her patients. Dr. Morales is married and has one daughter. When not working, Dr. Morales enjoys being a mom, spending time with family, exercising, crafting, and baking.
