About Marlena Freeman, Aesthetician Specialist
Marlena’s career in the beauty industry began over a decade ago when she worked for celebrity brow guru Anastasia Soare of Anastasia of Beverly Hills at the La Jolla, California location. Marlena learned that it was possible to shape and trim a brow in such a way to make it appear fuller. She was trained and certified in the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow shaping method, which includes conducting proper measurements based on bone structure followed by waxing, tweezing, trimming, and filling in the eyebrows. With a sharp eye for detail, Marlena can perfectly manicure even the most unruly eyebrows. She strives for consistency, fullness, and symmetry for beautiful results with each and every brow shaping she performs. While working in a medical spa setting and under the supervision of a doctor, Marlena learned to perform medical grade peels and other advanced treatments to target many skincare concerns. As an avid learner, Marlena continues to expand her skincare knowledge and techniques by attending a variety of educational programs and trainings to keep up with the latest advances in skincare technology. She has received extensive training in many different skincare lines and treatment protocols including IS Clinical, Priori, Sonya Dakar, Ultraluxe, Dr. Schrammek, Intraceuticals, Biomedic, HydraFacial MD, and SkinCeuticals. Marlena continues to share her extensive industry knowledge and experience by educating and training other estheticians. In May of 2016, Marlena opened La Jolla Brow and Beauty™, a bespoke mini-salon in the heart of La Jolla Village. As a leader in the San Diego skincare community, Marlena strives to provide a unique and customized skincare experience for all patrons.
