About Marieanne Giardina-Beckett, MD
Dr. Beckett is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Beckett has practiced dermatology in New York and New Jersey for 22 years. She practices medical and pediatric dermatology with a specialty in cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Beckett graduated with a degree in psychology and education from Marymount College, where she was elected to the Dean’s list for four years. She received a Master’s Degree in school psychology from St. John’s University and practiced as a school psychologist before attending medical school. Dr. Beckett received her M.D. degree from New York Medical College. She completed her internship in internal medicine at the Staten Island University Hospital. She completed her residency in dermatology at New York Medical College, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Beckett has been named a “New York Metro Top Doctor” for 12 years as well as being named as a “Top Cosmetic Doctor” in New Jersey. She has published many articles in leading medical journals. Dr. Beckett is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Beckett has served as the Chief of Dermatology at Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center for 12 years and is also on staff at St. Mary’s Hospital in Passaic. She is involved in the training and mentoring of medical students and residents, and also lectures fellow physicians and students on general and pediatric dermatology and the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. Dr. Beckett has performed many voluntary skin cancer screenings in the community and teaches cosmetic surgery to fellow physicians.
