About Marco T. Amarante, MD
Dr. Marco T.J. Amarante is a Board Certified Surgeon with a MD and MS from the University of São Paulo, with 22 plus years of clinical practice in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is already a Permanent Resident of the US and is moving back to the US with special interest in Adipose Derived Stem Cell, Cranio-Maxillofacial research, structural fat grafting and clinical research, wound healing, as well as teaching. Dr. Marco T.J Amarnte is ECFMG certified and has passed all 3 Steps of USMLE with Research Fellowships in Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital – Harvard University from 1992 to 1993 and at the Medical College of Wisconsin from 1993 to 1995. He has Scholarships for research from the National Council of Research of Brazil (CNPq) and the Medical College of Wisconsin. A Grant from the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation and the Bernd Spiessl Research Award for his research in 1995. Authored and co-authored many articles in his specialty field in the most renowned journals of Plastic Surgery. Invited presentations to regional and national meetings and also presentation in international meetings in Plastic Surgery. He also speaks three languages: English, Portugeses and Spanish.
