About Marc Glashofer, MD
Dr. Marc Glashofer received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, Honors Program, and then obtained a Master Degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. Following this, he attended George Washington University Medical School, where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society graduating with distinction. Dr. Glashofer completed his internship in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, and then proceeded to complete his residency in dermatology at Tulane University, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Glashofer then pursued additional training, completing a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, cutaneous reconstruction, and cosmetic dermatologic procedures. Dr. Glashofer joined The Derm Group in 2015, after nine years in practice on Long Island, where he was the recipient of Long Island’s “Patients’ Choice” award for seven consecutive years. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery (ACMS). In addition, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS). He is also a member of the Skin Cancer Foundation, and the National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF), where he serves on their scientific advisory board. Aside from his expertise in Mohs surgery and reconstruction, Dr. Glashofer has a special interest in cosmetic dermatology and is an expert in the use of Botox®, dermal fillers, and lasers, to obtain a more youthful appearance. He is also an expert in treating dermatologic medical conditions such as acne, psoriasis, rashes, and hair loss. He has published extensively in leading medical journals and textbooks, and lectures at national meetings. His opinion is frequently sought after by the media, including outlets such as Men’s Health, Prevention, Health.com, YouBeauty, and SiriusXM Doctor Radio.
