About Marc Elkowitz
Dr. Elkowitz was raised in Great Neck, New York, and chose to begin his practice here in 2000. From high school at Great Neck North, Dr. Elkowitz was admitted to college and medical school as part of a highly competitive, and prestigious seven year combined B.S./M.D. program at Union College and Albany Medical College, of which only 20 students per year attend. After graduation from medical school, Dr. Elkowitz immediately began residency in General Surgery at New York Medical College. Dr. Elkowitz began his education in Plastic Surgery at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He had the opportunity to train in every aspect of plastic surgery, and had the privilege of training under the tutelage of some of the most renowned educators and skilled surgeons of cosmetic, reconstructive, and hand surgery. Dr. Elkowitz is double board certified in general surgery and plastic surgery by The American Board of Surgery and The American Board of Plastic Surgery, respectively. He has also recertified in both as part of an ongoing maintenance of certification program.
