About Manuel A. Lopez, MD

Manuel A. Lopez, MD, FACS, founder of Advanced Aesthetics Lopez Plastic Surgery, is a highly experienced, board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon who is dedicated to bringing aesthetic improvements to women and men of all ages, races, and genders in the San Antonio and South Texas area. He personally trains each of the medical providers on staff to ensure that patients receive consistent, safe, and state-of-the-art care at the practice’s locations in Alamo Heights, Boerne, New Braunfels, and Stone Oak. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Physiological Sciences at the University of California at Los Angeles, Dr. Lopez earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Louisville where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He completed his residency at the University of Cincinnati Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He then followed his passion for plastic surgery by completing a fellowship in facial plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery at the University of Illinois in Chicago, under the guidance of world-renowned surgeons Dr. Dean Torumi, Dr. Reagan Thomas, and Dr. Eugene Tardy. Dr. Lopez came to San Antonio in 2004 after he was offered the position of chief of facial plastics at Wilford Hall Medical Center. The next year, he was deployed to Iraq, where he served as head and neck surgeon at Balad Air Base. At Advanced Aesthetics Lopez Plastic Surgery, Dr. Lopez creates beautiful improvements using the latest advances in surgical techniques. He and his staff stay on the cutting edge of technology by offering the latest, most effective nonsurgical therapies available, including FaceTite minimally invasive face-lifts, Botox® injections, and CoolSculpting® noninvasive body contouring. His passion for helping patients achieve their aesthetic goals earned Dr. Lopez the titles of Top Doctor in San Antonio from S.A. Scene magazine and Super Doctor from Texas Monthly magazine. He was also inducted into the national Best Doctors list and received an Angie’s List Super Service Award due to the outstanding service he provides to his patients.
