About Louis H. Riina
Dr. Louis Riina has been a partner at Long Island Plastic Surgical Group since 2001. Dr. Riina received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Delaware in 1983 and obtained his MD at the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel-Aviv, Israel. He went on to complete a surgical internship at Staten Island University Hospital, as well as a fellowship in Burn Surgery at the Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. He completed his training during a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at Nassau University Medical Center.Dr. Riina performs a variety of plastic surgery procedures, with a special interest in wound care and burn management. He currently is a member of the American Burn Association and the International Wound Healing Society, and holds faculty positions with the Burn Center at Nassau University Medical Center and the Wound Care Center at Southside Hospital. Dr. Riina is also actively involved in training plastic surgery residents at Nassau University Medical center, advancing education in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.Dr. Riina enjoys fishing, cooking, boating, gardening, and music as his leisurely activities.
