About Lisa A. Zaleski-Larsen, MD
Dr. Lisa Zaleski-Larsen is a licensed Board-certified Dermatologist and an American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Surgery Diplomat who has also completed a fellowship in Surgical Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Zaleski-Larsen graduated with honors from Hood College in Frederick, MD with a B.A. in Biochemistry. She received the highly coveted U.S. Naval Health Professions Scholarship and received her medical education at WVSOM. Dr. Zaleski-Larsen graduated Sigma Sigma Phi from medical school, an award for academic achievement and community service. She went on to complete an internal medicine internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Zaleski-Larsen was the sole physician on the USS Gunston Hall LSD44 for 2 years where she deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom. She returned to complete a dermatology residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego and spent two years as the Department Head of Dermatology and Laser Surgery at the U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa in Japan. Dr. Zaleski-Larsen returned to San Diego to teach at the NMCSD Dermatology Residency Program. She later completed her fellowship training in Surgical Cosmetic Dermatology with involvement in over 30 clinical trials in addition to authoring a multiple dermatology book chapters and publications. Dr. Zaleski-Larsen is one of the most prominent cosmetic dermatologists in San Diego. Her specialties include Botox, dermal fillers, injectables, laser treatments, and non-invasive fat reduction. She also enjoys medical dermatology with skin cancer detection and helping patients with any skin condition. Dr. Zaleski-Larsen and her husband, Mark Larsen, have lived in San Diego for over 7 years and enjoy hiking, photography, and travel.
