About Lisa D. Mihora, MD
Dr. Mihora is passionate about setting up the best oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery practice possible. She knows that the extra touch of a small practice allows her to make your care refined to your personal needs and situation. She was raised in Santa Barbara, California and attended college at UC San Diego. She received a scholarship to attend the Medical College of Virginia though the United States Air Force and thereafter served around the world. She did her internship at Travis AFB, CA and served as a Flight Surgeon for search and rescue at Moody AFB, GA. She did her residency in ophthalmology in Chattanooga, TN and was then stationed at Elmendorf AFB in Alaska. Also, she is Board Certified through American Academy of Ophthalmology AAO in 2005 and recertified in 2015. Her interests have always been directed at facial reconstruction and cosmesis and she was accepted into a 2 year fellowship through the American Society of Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstrutcive Surgeons with Dr. David Holck in San Antonio, TX. These skills garnered allowed her to serve her country on multiple deployments around the world including Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and Turkey. She maintains a rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserve and moved to the valley to work building an Oculoplastics practice. Dr. Mihora now serves the Phoenix Valley’s needs for facial and peri-ocular rejuvenation and reconstruction.
