About Lawrence J. Bass, MD
Dr. Bass and his family came to Sacramento in 1973, when he joined the practice after completing his Dermatology residency and chief residency at the University of Michigan Medical School where he also completed his medical school training. Dr. Bass and his expertise have been recognized by colleagues with awards including a “Best Doctors in Sacramento” award. Dr. Bass’s commitment to dermatology volunteerism has been recognized by the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society with the Medical Honor Award and the American Academy of Dermatology’s Gold Circle of Volunteerism. Dr. Bass’s commitment to the Sacramento community has been shared by his serving on many local organizations boards. Always committed to teaching dermatology, Dr. Bass was the founding chair and professor of the UC Davis Department of Dermatology. Dr. Bass believes in taking care of one’s health, and he can be seen running on the American River bike trails or a hitting a round of 18 holes on the golf course. He also enjoys hiking and skiing with his grandchildren.
