About Lauren B. Dickson, MD
Dr. Dickson, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin. She attained her doctorate from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian Hospital and Dermatology residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas where she served as chief resident. She is an invited teacher at Baylor University Center where she trains Dermatology residents in cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Dickson has conducted clinical research on pigmented legions including the early detection of melanoma and psoriasis. She has authored numerous dermatology publications in peer-reviewed journals and contributed book chapters in dermatological textbooks. Her presentations at local, state, and national dermatology meetings include topics on skin cancer, psoriasis, and aesthetics. In addition, she was the recipient of the best oral presentation award for her topic on “A novel automated dermoscopy-based image analyzer for the clinical evaluation of pigmented lesions and early detection of melanoma. Dr. Dickson specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Not only does she strive to guide her patients in the management of frustrating skin conditions with scientifically based advice, she also understands how a subtly enhanced appearance can greatly improve self-esteem and confidence. Highly trained in the use of injectables, laser, light and energy devices, Dr. Dickson performs her procedures with a light touch since natural, meaningful results are her goal. She seeks to offer personalized strategies for each individual patient—in the treatment of wrinkle reduction, body contouring, and facial rejuvenation.
