About Laurel K. Chandler, MD
Dr. Chandler is a Harvard fellowship trained plastic surgeon, who completed specialty training in aesthetic surgery with experts in the field. She specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery of the face, neck, breast and body, as well as non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Dr. Chandler believes every patient is unique, and tailors her approach to each individual. She understands the importance of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery in improving self-image and restoring a sense of self. She provides each patient with comprehensive pre- and post-surgical care, and involves her patients in a full discussion about pros and cons of various procedures and approaches to each problem. She is dedicated to research and advancing the field of plastic surgery, and has presented her work across the United States and internationally. She has won several awards for her research and recently served on faculty for Plastic Surgery at the Red Sea, an aesthetic and reconstructive international meeting. Dr. Chandler received her Medical Doctor degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont. During her medical training, she completed numerous elective rotations in Plastic Surgery across the United States. She then completed her six-year residency in Plastic Surgery at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School. During her training, she served as Chief Resident and ran her own Aesthetic Surgery Clinic. She then went to Boston, Massachusetts where she spent an additional year of fellowship training in the latest techniques in aesthetic surgery at Harvard Medical School. She began her private practice in Plastic Surgery with her office located in Wilton, Connecticut.
