About Kriti Mohan, MD
Dr. Kriti Mohan is a board-certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who offers a wide range of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries of the face, breast, and body. She has a special interest in facial aesthetic surgery, including the art of rhinoplasty. Dr. Mohan’s surgical skill and meticulous attention to detail perfectly complement her warm bedside manner. Her main objective is to place her patients at complete ease while providing them with the highest standard of care, individualized to their personal needs and desires. In addition, her expertise has extended to numerous articles and book chapters in highly-respected, peer-reviewed plastic surgery journals. Dr. Kriti Mohan’s undergraduate career at Boston College and Rutgers University earned her a Bachelors degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience as well as a minor in Art History, which also allowed her to spend a semester abroad at the University of Manchester in England. It was during this early part of her career that she fostered a love and appreciation for artistry, which she would further cultivate into her interest in Plastic Surgery. After graduating from university, Dr. Mohan spent a year performing basic science research in an esteemed Howard Hughes scientific laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine with her culminating accomplishment being a publication in one of the most prominent scientific journals, Cell. She continued her training in Houston where she attended the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine and received her Medical degree with distinction, being nominated for the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. During medical school, she also had the privilege of spending time in Vietnam where she assisted in complex reconstructive procedures and treated burn victims, which was one of the formative influences in her dedication to the field of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Kriti Mohan then continued her stay at Baylor College of Medicine by attending the Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency program, which is regarded as one of the most competitive and renowned programs in the country for Plastic Surgery education. There she trained in all aspects of aesthetic as well as reconstructive surgery procedures, including microsurgery, in the largest medical center in the world. In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Kriti Mohan has also excelled in clinical research, performed both at her home institution as well as M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, which led to book chapters and numerous publications in leading Plastic Surgery journals. She also spent clinical time at the esteemed Manhattan, Eye, Ear, and Throat Institute, honing her skill is aesthetic surgery.
