About Kory K. Parsi, DO
I am a physician in the dermatology department here at the South Sacramento Medical Center. I completed my dermatology training at UC Davis and am very excited to be part of the exceptional team here at South Sacramento. I graduated medical school in 2012. We offer comprehensive dermatological care of the skin, hair and nails. I’ve previously done clinical research on telemedicine models in dermatology to follow patients with psoriasis. I’ve presented research posters internationally and have published articles in peer-reviewed dermatology journals. We collaborate with the UC Davis Department of Dermatology to train the next generation of dermatologists, which provides our patients here at Kaiser Permanente with the opportunity for clinical presentation at regional meetings to discuss difficult to manage conditions. I strive to provide individualized, holistic care that is patient-centered. We are now offering video visits, so if you can’t make it in to the clinic, but have some follow up questions or concerns, a video visit is a great way to stay in touch and get your questions answered. I grew up in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. After high school, I spent a year living in Honduras as an assistant teacher in a bilingual elementary school. It was a wonderful experience that gave me a new perspective on life and prepared me to make the most of university. I’m the youngest of a family of 5. With two older brothers and two older sisters, I have 14 nieces and nephews! We live all over the US and abroad (London) now, but we still try to all get together at least once a year. I play a lot of basketball and I enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures. In college, I traveled to Spain, Colombia and Kenya. I recently visited Southern Ireland, Paris and London. Ask me about my moonlit kayaking adventure in Ireland! When I’m not staying up-to-date on the latest dermatology research and literature, I enjoy reading historically-based fiction. I recently read East of Eden by John Steinbeck.
