About Kim S. Frederickson, MD
Dr. Frederickson has over 20 years of experience in pediatric, adolescent, and adult dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology, including lasers, intense-pulsed light, Botox, and fillers. Throughout her career in dermatology, she has consistently and conscientiously dedicated herself to excellence in patient care. Dr. Frederickson is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology — board-certified — and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is the coauthor of articles published in the medical literature regarding the use of lasers in dermatology and cell function in molecular biology. Dr. Kim Frederickson graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with high honors in genetics and as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society. UC Berkeley awarded her the “Certificate of Highest Distinction”, given to only 12 of 5,500 graduating seniors. Dr. Frederickson received her M.D. from UC Davis Medical School, where she was the recipient of a University of California Regents Scholarship. She did research in lasers in dermatology for which she received the Loren D. Carlson Student Research Award and the Novy Award for Excellence in Dermatology. Upon graduation from UC Davis Medical School, she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her residency in dermatology at the UC Davis Medical School and was elected by the faculty to be Chief Resident in her senior year.
