About Kenneth O. Phillips, MD
I am originally a native of Connecticut, and joined the Kaiser Permanente faculty after completion of my plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. I also completed fellowship training in hand and microsurgery from the nationally and internationally recognized Christine M. Kleinert Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. Prior to my plastic surgery residency, I did maxillofacial and general surgery training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where I also graduated from medical school with honors. Before this, I spent time in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where I received a doctorate in dental medicine from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelors degree from Temple University. I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 2001. I chose the field of plastic surgery because of the ability to treat a whole spectrum of patients for congenital, traumatic, developmental and cosmetic issues.
