About Kenne O. Ogunmakin, MD
Dr. Kenne Ogunmakin earned her medical degree in 2011 from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she also completed her Internal Medicine internship in 2012. She completed her Dermatology residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock in 2015, where she served as Chief Resident from 2014 to 2015. Prior to joining Kelsey-Seybold in 2018, Dr. Ogunmakin spent three years as a general and cosmetic dermatologist at a Houston cosmetic and medical dermatology center and a principal investigator and sub-investigator conducting dermatologic clinical trials to test the safety and efficacy of new medication and product improvements for pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies. Dr. Ogunmakin evaluated and treated patients for general dermatologic conditions, performed surgical procedures, performed photodynamic therapy and chemical peels, conducted patch testing for allergic dermatitis, and other medical and cosmetic treatments. Dr. Ogunmakin is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology; the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery; the Women’s Dermatologic Society; the Dermatology Foundation; the Houston Dermatological Society; the American Medical Association; the Texas Medical Association; the Harris County Medical Society; and the Houston Medical Forum. Dr. Ogunmakin enjoys traveling and spending time with her son, husband, family, and friends.
