About Karen L. Chapel, MD
Karen Chapel, M.D. graduated with honors from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1994. She then completed her internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Dermatology at the University of Michigan, where she was selected Chief Resident of Dermatology in her final year. She has been in practice since 1998. She is a board-certified dermatologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Chapel serves as Section Chief of Dermatology of Beaumont Health-Dearborn and was a recent President of the Michigan Dermatological Society. Multiple times over the past several years, thousands of physicians in Metro Detroit have voted Dr. Chapel as one of Metro Detroit’s Best Doctors, published in Vital magazine and as one of the area’s Top Doc’s, published in Hour Detroit magazine. Dr. Chapel offers a wide variety of medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatologic services. She treats patients for skin cancer, acne, warts, psoriasis, eczema and a wide range of other skin diseases. She provides surgical treatment of skin cancer as well as the removal of moles and other benign growths. She also offers cosmetic services such as Botox and fillers to reduce wrinkles and improve facial contours. She strives to provide comprehensive, expert dermatologic care with a personal touch.
