About Karan K. Sra, MD
Karan K. Sra, M.D. is a board-certified Dermatologist with Houston Skin Associates and Adara Medical Spa. Born and raised in the great state of Texas, Dr. Sra spent her earlier years in Northwest Houston, where she attended Jersey Village High School. She then went on to complete her ungraduated training at the University of Texas Austin where she graduated with honors. She attended medical school, internship and her Dermatology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Karan Sra has also been acclaimed for her use of injectable treatments such as Botox and fillers to achieve distinguished results without a look that reveals that cosmetic work was done. She has been recognized by her patients and awarded “The Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award” and “The Patients’ Choice Award”. She has also been chosen as “Houston’s most dynamic women” by Houston Modern Luxury. In addition, she is a Master Injector of Botox and Fillers, demonstrating her proficiency with non-invasive cosmetic procedures. Houston Skin Associates and Adara Medical Spa take pride in performing cutting edge procedures to help patients feel better about their skin and bodies. In addition to cosmetic procedures, Dr. Sra also detects hundreds of skin cancers yearly, she believes strongly that regular visits to the dermatologist can help with early detection and prevention of skin cancer. Her mission is to provide exemplary and compassionate care to her patients by providing the most current medical and cosmetic skincare procedures available. She does this by remaining committed to the advancement of her education and experience in the cosmetic and general dermatology fields. Dr. Sra has also been published numerous manuscripts and has been involved in clinical trials for conditions such as acne, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. Dr. Sra is a philanthropist and donates to The American Cancer Society, The Women’s Home, Houston Food Bank, and many more charities. She is married with one daughter, she enjoys spending time with her family (and her German Shepherd) and serving her community on her days off. Her commitment to her family, patients, and employees remains her highest priority.
