About Joseph R. Payne
Dr. Joseph Payne received his Doctorate of Medicine from Duke University School of Medicine and completed his residency in dermatology at George Washington University Hospital. In 2001, Dr. Payne was named as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy. After his naval service, he went on to work as the Department Head of Dermatology at Naval Hospital Jacksonville. He is now a partner at DAA, and he’s also one of our extremely skilled and highly experienced Mohs skin cancer removal surgeons. Dr. Payne maintains active memberships with the American Board of Dermatology, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
