About Joseph J. Castellano, MD
Dr. Joseph Castellano is a native Floridian where he grew up in the Tampa Bay area. After attending Jesuit High School, he attended the University of Florida where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry in 2000, graduating with honors. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of South Florida in 2005. During medical school he received clinical honors In Surgery, and received the Watson Clinic Award for best research by a medical student. From 2005 to 2007, Dr. Joseph Castellano completed his first two years of General Surgery residency at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital. From 2007-2010, he completed his residency training in General Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. During medical school and his 5 years of training in General Surgery, Dr. Castellano developed a strong interest in Cosmetic Surgery. He followed his residency training with an elective year of specialized training with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.From 2010-2011, he completed a fellowship in Indiana focused entirely of cosmetic surgery of the face and body. During his fellowship, he received specialized training in facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, and body contouring. Dr. Castellano received his board certification from the American Board of Surgery in 2010, and is also board certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Castellano has now returned home and has opened a new practice in Tampa, Florida focusing on breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, liposuction, facelift, and eyelid rejuvenation. Additionally, he operates on numerous skin cancers, scar revisions, spider veins, and specializes in the management of aging skin with chemical peels and laser resurfacing.
