About Jorge L. Menendez, MD
is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and a Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Menendez received his medical degree from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas and his General Surgery training at Parkland Memorial Hospital and affiliated hospitals also in Dallas, Texas. He then completed a three year specialty training in Plastic Surgery at the prestigious Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City followed by an Aesthetic & Craniofacial Surgery externship in Paris, France with the world renowned Dr. Daniel Marchac. He also served an additional full year fellowship in Aesthetic & Craniofacial Surgery at the International Aesthetic & Craniofacial Institute in Dallas, Texas under the direction of Dr. Kenneth E. Salyer, M. D. In addition, Dr. Menendez is a member of Resurge International, an internationally recognized volunteer organization, which provides much needed surgical treatment for children all over the world with birth defects. Dr. Menendez's Internet initiatives have been instrumental in empowering his patients with up to date medical information. During his tenure in New York City he served in the capacity of Assistant Attending Surgeon in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital under the direction of Dr. Sherrell Aston, M.D., FACS. Dr. Menendez is recognized as an expert in the use of Botox Cosmetic and Juvederm. He was one of the earliest surgeons to participate in Allergan's mentor teaching program, teaching other physicians on injection techniques of Botox Cosmetic.Dr. Menendez has active medical licenses in Texas, New York, Connecticut and Maine, and is fluent in Spanish.
