About Jorge Corona, MD
Jorge Corona, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist subspecializing in oculoplastic and orbital surgery. Dr. Corona was a clinical assistant professor at Texas Tech University Health Science Center and served as an oculoplastic surgeon at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Big Spring, TX, before joining Oculoplastic Associates of Texas in 2007. Dr. Corona graduated from Universidad La Salle (graduated 1994), School of Medicine in Mexico City with honors. After an internship in general surgery at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock and his fellowship in oculoplastic and orbital surgery at McGill University in Montreal. Dr. Corona serves on the board of International Esperanza Project. He leads a medical team to a rural area in Guatemala where they provide life-changing surgeries. Dr. Corona is a clinical assistant professor at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. He served as an oculoplastic surgeon at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Big Spring, TX, before joining Oculoplastic Associates of Texas in 2007.
