About Jonathan L. Rosen, MD
Dr. Leon Rosen MD is a fellowship trained Ophthalmic Plastics and Reconstructive surgery specialist, as well as a General Ophthalmology surgery specialist who has received training from the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He currently serves as the Director of the Oculoplastics Division at Ocean Ophthalmology as well as providing Oculoplastics consulting services for neighboring practices in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. Jonathan Leon Rosen MD completed his General Surgery Internship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. He then went on to complete an Ophthalmology residency, and Oculoplastics fellowship training at the world renowned New York Eye and Ear Infirmary under the tutelage of Drs. Robert and David Della Rocca. He continued at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary following his fellowship as a Voluntary Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology with responsibilities that included clinical and surgical training of residents within the General Ophthalmology and Oculoplastics divisions. At Ocean Ophthalmology Group, Dr. Leon Rosen MD heads the Oculoplastics Service with experience treating many types of oculoplastics moribidities including thyroid eye disease, dermatologic pre-malignant and malignant lesions of the eyelids, orbital lesions, neurologic deficits of the cranial nerve system, functional and anatomical deficits of the nasolacrimal system, ocular surface reconstruction for trauma and autoimmune patients, as well as functional eyelid deficits such ptosis, ectropion and entropion/trichiasis of the eyelids, including reconstruction of previously operated eyelids. Given his Reconstructive Surgery training, Dr. Leon Rosen, MD is well versed in Cosmetic/Aesthetic procedures such as Botox, Fillers and Cosmetic Upper and Lower Lid surgery.
