About John C. Newland, DMD
John C Newland DMD was born and raised in Seattle Washington. He attended the University of Washington for both undergraduate and graduate studies (with an interest in infectious diseases). In 1980, he matriculated at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 1984. He completed a General Practice Residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1985. After completing his residency, he held a number of jobs until he founded his own practice in the Drexeline Shopping Center in 1987. In 2018, after the announcement of the redevelopment of Drexeline, he joined Dental Arts of Drexel Hill, but parted company in March 2019. Dr Newland was married to Gail for over 22 years until her untimely death in 2008. Their son, JJ, is a fourth year medical student at Jefferson . Dr Newland’s clinical areas of interest are all phases of restorative and cosmetic dentistry including anterior cosmetic veneers and implant restoration. His personal areas of interest include cheesy british science fiction, lacrosse, and everything Disney. He is grateful to having met Betty who gave him back his smile and to JJ, his son, who embodies all the good things in the world. Dr Newland is open to new patients and new clinical challenges.
