About John K. Mulholland, MD
Dr. John Mulholland has double board certification by the American Board of Dermatology as a dermatologist and as a dermatopathologist. Subspecialty certification in dermatopathology is a joint and equal function of the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) and the American Board of Pathology (ABP). Dr. Mulholland is a graduate of The Haverford School and Bucknell University. He completed his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College and his dermatology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He completed his fellowship studies in dermatopathology at The University of California, Irvine. Dr. Mulholland is a specialist in dermoscopy and the early detection of skin cancer. In addition to the years he's been with BRYN MAWR SKIN & CANCER INSTITUTE, Dr. Mulholland had two years of clinical dermatology experience before joining us. His clinical and dermatopathology expertise are great additions to our practice. He was born at The Bryn Mawr Hospital and he is a resident of Newtown Square. Dr. Mulholland is the son of S. Grant Mulholland, MD, Chairman Emeritus (1977-2002) Thomas Jefferson University Department of Urology. He provides the dermatology training for The Bryn Mawr Hospital's Family Practice program. Special interests include skin cancer surgery, dermatopathology, dermoscopy, and digital photography.
