About John C. Lee, MD
Dr. John C. Lee is a double board-certified plastic surgeon in Connecticut. Dr. Lee practices a full spectrum of reconstructive surgery while maintaining a focus on aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. Dr. Lee’s commitment to the care of his patients is unsurpassed. Dr. Lee is a dedicated surgeon who pursues perfection and takes great pride in his work. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Connecticut where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Lee went on to obtain his medical degree at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He then completed an internship and residency in General Surgery at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City and is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Lee remained in New York City to pursue his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, one of the oldest and most acclaimed training programs in the country, and learned directly from many leaders in the field. Included in his rigorous training were mentorships at New York City’s prestigious Manhattan Eye and Ear Infirmary. To further develop his interest in cosmetic surgery, he pursued additional subspecialty training with some of the best aesthetic surgeons in Manhattan. He completed an Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, which is one of only a handful of highly competitive Aesthetic Surgery Fellowships in the United States. Few plastic surgeons complete additional training, such as this, dedicated to cosmetic surgery. Dr. Lee is board-certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Today Dr. Lee performs a full spectrum of reconstructive surgery including breast reconstruction, abdominal wall reconstruction, body contouring after weight loss, and skin cancer surgery, as well as aesthetic surgery of the face, breast and body. He is pleased to offer these services at several locations along the Connecticut Shoreline and Connecticut River Valley. Dr. Lee is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery.
