About John B. Barnett, MD
Dr. John Barnett was born in a small central Texas town, Marlin, and raised in a family of doctors dating back 170 years (before the Civil War). One might say he was “born” into the art of the practice of medicine and surgery. He graduated from The University of Texas (Austin) and Southwestern Medical School (Dallas). His general and trauma surgery was at Baylor University Medical Center (Dallas), Parkland Memorial Hospital (Dallas), and John Peter Smith Hospital (Fort Worth). His plastic surgery residency was at UTSW Medical Center Parkland Memorial Hospital (Dallas). He was also a “founding member” of the American College of Emergency Physicians, going on to co-supervise and staff nine hospitals in Dallas and Northeast Texas. He also served as flight surgeon in the Strategic Air Command during the Vietnam War. Into his private practice, Dr. Barnett brings more than 38 years of vast surgical experience, expertise, artistry, and sound judgment to his patients, many of whom also consider him their “family doctor,” and the “patients for life,” returning 5, 10, 20 or 30 years later for “updates,” more and/or different surgeries, or with family members to become new patients. Dr. Barnett is responsible for some of the most beautiful breasts in the country. His philosophy is “Superior breast augmentation should be natural in appearance and feel, and virtually undetectable by the eye.” He has performed over 10,000 procedures, and more than 6,000 breast surgeries. His work can be seen on models, centerfolds, entertainers, celebrities, stay-at-home moms, and women of virtually all walks of life.
