About Joanna Chan
Dr. Joanna Chan is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon. She is an expert in the surgical management of skin cancers, a variety of cosmetic procedures, advanced surgical reconstruction and local anesthesia cosmetic surgery such as eyelid blepharoplasty.Her passion is to create beautifully natural results utilizing advanced, non-invasive laser, injectable, and lifting procedures, all with a philosophy of outstanding care based on expertise and specialized attention to the particular needs of each patient. She speaks Spanish, Fujian / Taiwanese, and Mandarin and has a special interest in treating patients with skin of color.Dr. Chan graduated from Harvard College and Stanford Medical School. Her research during residency at UT Southwestern was awarded 1st place at the Resident & Fellow Symposium Skin of Color Society at the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD). Dr. Chan also won the ProPath Challenge at the AAD, in addition to the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) Preceptorship Scholarship and the ASDS Cutting Edge Research Grand Award for her research regarding facial epidermal closures.
